Tessy brings a wealth of experience to AIS, having served as the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management at independent schools in Switzerland and South Florida. Her expertise spans various educational modalities, including IB World Schools, Montessori, Episcopalian, and Reggio Emilia-inspired programs. Tessy's dedication to working with students and families in diverse and supportive educational environments is evident in her passion for international education.
Her multicultural and multilingual background, born in Nicaragua and having lived in the USA, Mexico, and Switzerland, deeply informs her perspective. Fluent in Spanish and English, Tessy has also earned the Diplôme Supérieur d’Etudes Françaises Modernes from the Alliance Française. With an educational foundation in Hospitality Management and Counselor Education, Tessy's commitment to fostering learning extends beyond traditional academics. She is certified as a Chief Happiness Officer and has completed a certificate in School Management and Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Harvard Business School.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Tessy finds joy in reading, attending comedy shows, swimming, traveling, spending quality time with her family, and immersing herself in all that Austin has to offer.
